Because of Reading…We Know Some Stories Stay With Us Forever

There are books.

Then, there are our favorite books.

Our favorite books are the ones we can’t bear to part with no matter how many times we clean off our shelves. We know their plots by heart, yet we still read them cover-to-cover like we did the very first time we picked them up. The characters on the page are like old friends we want to visit again and again. Some may only see creased and faded pages, broken spines and bent covers, but, to us, they are some of our most valuable possessions. These stories bury themselves deep inside of us, taking up their own section of our heart until they become a part of who were are.

Because of reading we carry our favorite stories with us forever.

Because of Reading…We Write

Behind every good writer is a great reader. One cannot exist without the other. Books awaken our creative spirit. They spark our inner storyteller to dream up our own cast of characters and spiraling plots. Our favorite authors inspire us to pick up our own pens and spill them out on the blank pages of our battered notebooks. We aspire to be them, for our tales to stand on the shelf next to theirs. Without authors or books, we may have never shared our stories or found our voices.

Because of reading we want to write our own story.

Because of Reading…We Live in Bookstores

To some, a bookstore is simply a store that sells books. To a reader, it’s so much more. Whether it’s the Barnes and Noble at your local mall or an independently owned joint on the corner of a quaint little town, bookstores are magical places with shelves lined with colorful spines, displays beautiful cover art, and collections of intriguing titles. We never know what new journey we will embark on and what new characters will become our fictional best friends for life. Each trip leads us to a new story just waiting to be discovered.

Because of reading bookstores are our second home.
