Fictional Guy February Day #20: John Ross Ewing from “Dallas”

John Ross (Image)

John Ross Ewing from Dallas is all kinds of bad news. He’s a cowboy casanova who is about as slippery as a rattlesnake. He gets drunk off power, has some fidelity issues, and isn’t afraid to use every dirty trick his daddy J.R. taught him. When he wants to be or there’s something in it for him, he can behave and tow line, and he does have a moral compass, abet a a really screwed up one. However, put his back against the wall, and his claws come out strong. When it comes to John Ross, you can never be a hundred percent which side you’re going to get, but the unpredictability is half the fun.

The Boys of Summer: The 5 Guys That Lit the Summer on Fire

(Image: Flickr)

It’s Labor Day, which means the summer has come to its unofficial end! It’s been a a hot one this year, and we’re not just talking about the weather! The entertainment world has been set ablaze this season by a crop of talented, gorgeous guys who made their mark in television, music and beyond. So, in honor of Labor Day, we’ve scoured the past three months for the guys that burned just a little brighter than the rest!

Here are the five guys we couldn’t get enough of this summer. Warning: They’re pretty hot!

1. Josh Henderson

With his sweet southern charm and sexy swagger, we fell hard for him as resident bad boy John Ross Ewing on TNT’s Dallas. Yet what really made Josh stand out for us-besides his amazingly handsome face and beautiful body-was his mysterious mismatched eyes. (One’s blue and one’s green.) Anything else? Oh yeah, he sings too. Is there anything he can’t do?

2. Christian Kane

His album The House Rules was our summer soundtrack, and we couldn’t wait to have  him back on our screens as Leverage’s Eliot Spencer on TNT. Plus, we love Christian’s teddy bear center underneath the tough guy exterior. (He thanks his fans via Twitter every week for supporting Leverage and helping to keep it on the air.)

3. Chris Hemsworth

It may have been the spring of Liam, but it’s been the summer of Chris. With starring roles in The Avengers and Snow White and the Huntsman, this Aussie heartthrob had us swooning in movie theaters over his heroic bravery and hot body. (Don’t worry Liam. We still love you too!)

4. Brody Jenner

After a month of reruns of The Hills on MTV, we found ourselves jonesing for some Jenner. Even though a few years have passed, we still can’t resist Brody’s laidback personality and boy-next-door smile. We wouldn’t mind taking a walk on the beach/go out to dinner/meet up in the afternoon for coffee under the guise of “just friends and shamelessly flirt. (If you’ve watched the last two seasons of The Hills, you know what we’re talking about.)

5. Michael Phelps & Ryan Lochte

Between their All-American charm and perfectly toned bodies, Team USA has never looked so good. The dynamic Olympic duo of Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte brought home the gold in swimming and in the process won our hearts. Who knew those odd black swimsuits that go to the knee could be so hot. (Although, we wouldn’t mind if they took Ryan’s suggestion and went back to the old-fashioned Speedo!)
