Happy New Year’s Eve, readers!
I want to start off by thanking each and every one of you for deciding to take a chance on Will Write For Boots in 2016, and, if you’re new today, welcome! I have truly loved the last year of inspiring quotes, sweet couples, and everything in between. My goal has been to bring a little bit of positive energy to my little corner of the web. I hope you’re day was brightened a little bit with each click.
This year, I really want to get back to my first passion in life, writing, and I want to share it all with you. After all, the word write is in my blog name. I want to let you see how I see the process of writing, my take on the highs and lows, and share what inspires my creative process. Whether you write poetry or prose, original fiction or fanfiction, literary or genre, I hope you will find something useful you can apply to your own process. Writing may be a solitary practice, but there is something to be said about having a writing community.
Kicking off 2017 in a big way, I have dedicated January to the wonderful world of writing prompts. Each day, I’ll be posting a line that I hope inspires whatever project you are working on. Maybe it will spark a new story idea or help you navigate your way out of a sticky plotting situation. I’m also excited to announce that there is a new writing-themed column in the works. Be on the lookout for that in the beginning of February.
Let’s make 2017 the year we create something beautiful.
