I will fully admit I’m completely obsessed with the television show Friday Night Lights. Ever since I binge-watched it earlier this year on Netflix, I have found myself returning to the show about the struggles and strifes of a small-town Texas football team time and time again. It’s beautiful tale filled with complex characters and heart wrenching drama.

While it may be easy to write it off as a silly show about football and teenage drama on the surface, Friday Night Lights about one man’s quest to make shape the boys on his team into strong respectable men. It’s about families coping with the day-to-day tragedies of life and coming out stronger in the end. It’s about first loves, first heartbreaks, and, ultimately, about discovering oneself and who a person is supposed to be.

Each meaningful lesson is delivered through the powerful dialogue of each character. Sometimes, it’s an epic locker room pep talk from Coach Taylor. Other times, it’s a simple line from Tami Taylor aka the most amazing television mom we have ever known. These words are the heart of the show, a vital part of the legacy it has left behind.

This month, it’s all about paying homage to the iconic words of wisdom Friday Night Lights has given us over the years. Thirty quotes over thirty days. Let the lessons of Coach Taylor, Tami Taylor, and the rest of the crew inspire you and motivate you to go after whatever goal you’ve set your mind to. They are a daily reminder to keep your eyes clear with purpose and your heart full of passion.

Let them full your fire.

Clear eyes. Full hearts. Can’t lose.
