Fictional Guy February Day #21: Peeta Mellark from “The Hunger Games”

Known by the moniker the boy with the bread, Peeta Mellark of The Hunger Games trilogy has become pretty iconic in the world of fictional guy crushes. Originally seen as a dark horse during the games, he was more brains than brawn in his approach to surviving the blood-thirsty trial. He tempered Katniss’s brash and rebellious attitude with his logical level-headedness that allowed for their rouse of a couple to fool the Capital and President Snow While she may have had to physically save him a few times, he saved her emotionally, and, throughout the trilogy, remains a constant source of hope, understanding and stability. Eventually, Peeta wins Katniss’ heart and finds a love that’s real.
