Our New Style Bible: 4 Reasons to Read Lauren Conrad Style

(Image: Barnes & Noble)

After watching reruns of The Hills this summer, a big case of nostalgia drove us to pick up a copy of Lauren Conrad Style on recent rainy afternoon at our local Barnes & Noble. Turns out, Lauren Conrad’s guide to the world of fashion and beauty is one of the best reads on the subject we could have possibly invested in. I fact, we’ve gone as far as to name it our new style bible.

Here are four reasons why you should pick up a copy of Lauren Conrad Style.

1. Lauren’s non-threatening approach to fashion

Unlike some books that are laden with rules and a do-this-don’t-do-that mentality, Lauren’s approach is much more relaxed. (She admits herself that she doesn’t believe in fashion rules and isn’t afraid to own up to some less than flattering fashion choices.) She comes off as a girl who simply loves fashion and has a great eye for what works.

2. Tips for solving your garment and accessories issues

Pit stains. Broken heels and worn-out soles. Too-long pant legs. We’ve all faced these issues and others when it comes to our beloved clothes and accessories. From the tailor to the cobbler to at-home tricks,  you’ll have a guide for how to prevent damage, fix fits and salvage your well-worn pieces.

4. More than just styling tips

Even if you aren’t looking for styling and beauty tips, Lauren Conrad Style is still a worthwhile read. In addition to great tips on pulling together great looks for different events, utilizing wardrobe pieces to their fullest potential, and basic beauty suggestions, Lauren tackles closet organization, the art of shopping and perfectly packing your suitcase for any getaway.

5. Anyone can use it

Our favorite thing about Lauren Conrad Style is how anyone can find something to take away from it. Whether you’re a teenager, a college student or a twenty-something, you’ll be able to easily integrate a good deal of Lauren’s tips into your own wardrobe. We encourage you to share it with the other ladies in your life.

  1. Thanks for another excellent post. Where else could anybody get that kind of information in such an ideal way of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I’m on the look for such info.
